Christmas Quilt for Easter
I know my seasons are out of whack. But that's how I roll when it comes to finishing quilts.
This was a group project for my quilt group- we all made a dozen gift box blocks, and then each got 12 different ones to take home, like a cookie exchange. I finally finished mine by adding a few more blocks and wonky log cabin strips to pull it all together. And I added a scrappy border too.
Terry did the long-arm quilting for me. I stitched on the binding.
And then I washed it.
BUMMER! A couple of the white fabrics picked up some of the red dye. Only a couple of places, but still. And only a couple of the white fabrics- thankfully, most of them seemed to resist the red.
Let that be a lesson to you. Prewash! Especially reds! (I even used a color catcher in the wash. Next time I'll use three. After I prewash.)
Merry Christmas....I mean, Happy Easter!

Quilter's Anonymous Show
Here are just a few of the quilts from the 32nd Annual Quilter's Anonymous Show...
It's held at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington.
Thank you Quilter's Anonymous. I should have gotten all the names of the artists/quilters who made these few I photographed. But know that I love the variety of quilts in this show and the artists they represent. Diverse designs, fabrics, talents, tastes, ages, and outlooks. That variety is the spice of life!

Grand Gift
This is a gift made for me from one of my grandgirls, Kennedy. He's air dry clay and acrylic paint.
Dear Kennedy,
Thank you for my precious feathered friend. He sits on my desk right next to my computer, so I think of you every day when I see him.
Wish you lived close by- but I look forward to seeing all of you this summer. I'm already planning on fun things to make when you come visit. Maybe you can think of some projects for us to try too!
Love, Grandma
