The Green & Brown Circle Quilt is finished. I'm happy with the way the colors worked together on this baby quilt, and Molly is excited to give it to her new nephew when he arrives!
Thank you Terry for the beautiful machine quilting!
I'm sorry to say we didn't win the giveaway over at Pots and Pins, but Nan thanks all of you who visited her blog and entered. (I may be asking for a stick blender like that for Mother's Day...It would be much easier instead of spooning hot soup into my regular blender to puree!)
Pinky update- My granddaughter went to the hand surgeon who says he's hopeful her fingertip will grow back! (I know-it sounds like lizard tails!) I did a little on-line research, and apparently it can happen- the younger the child, and the smaller the loss, the more likely. At 7, and with her losing about 3/8 of an inch of her finger, she may get it back, including her fingernail. Aren't bodies amazing?? (And have you made sure your window blind cords are out of reach of children and pets? )
Make it a Wonderful Day!
I will keep praying your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is GORGEOUS!
Oh, what an elegant bed this baby will have! I love the greens and browns.
ReplyDeleteTruly?!? I didn't know fingers could grow back, that's mind-blowing! I've known a few grownups who've lost digits or parts of digits, but the idea that a kid can grow a bit back is fantastic!
This quilt is just absolutely awesome. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteAnd how funny that a finger could grow back. I hope it does! We took all the blinds out of our house when we bought it and I put up the roller kind. I had heard horrifying stories of babies hanging themselves.
In a related kind of story- my FIL cut the end of his finger off at work one day and they put it in a bag and sent him to a surgeon an hour and a half away- my DH drove him so it took at least three hours to get there from the time he cut it. And they put it back on and you would never guess looking at it. There is a faint scar around the line where they reattached it and that is it. He has full use of his finger! It's amazing what can be done now.
That quilt is ADORABLE!!! I love the fabrics and the nice colors. Lucky Molly!
