A Few More Paintings from Art Club
Here are a few more paintings from Art Club, grades 1-6, for you to enjoy!
We looked at photos of animals of Australia to begin our artwork. Once we were happy with our sketches, we then drew them on brown paper bag paper, going over the lines with black permanent pen. We then crumpled the paper, ironed it, and then painted with acrylics. The last step was adding the dots with contrasting paint- this was done with the pointed or eraser end of a pencil. I hope that's enough detail. :D
These are painted on brown paper grocery sacks. I cut the bags open, then cut off the bottom of the bag. the flat paper can then be cut to the size you like. The artists draw with pencil, go over it with sharpie. Then they crumple the paper into a ball a few times. They flatten it out, then mist it with water. And then they iron it! They LOVE getting to use the iron! The next step is careful painting with acrylics.
These are great.
