They each had cute details, like a beaded bracelet...
... or button flowers in their hair. (I count 26 pieces the block above, and 24 in this paper pieced block, not including the borders. In other words, a lot of work!)
( Thanks Sandy, for finding the designer info! Lisa Boyer http://www.lisaboyer.com/
is the talented designer of this quilt pattern. It's called Keiki Hula.)
These little hula girls are so cute! And yes, looks like lots of work!!
ReplyDeleteI was too busy at work yesterday to find out it was peace day :(. Although I will say I didn't wage any war or even pick any fights yesterday. Minus the email frenzy from my desk for work-related stuff, my day was pretty peaceful. :-)

Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteI thought I recognized the pattern. If I'm not mistaken it's a Lisa Boyer pattern who lives in the Hawaiian Islands.

I think I visited that shop a few years ago when my husband and I were in Kauai for our 20th wedding anniversary. I loved it. I bought so much fabric there and still haven't done anything with it (5 years ago). There was a quilt hanging up that was made up on Hawaiian shirts on a clothesline (folded shirts). I have yet to find the right pattern for that so here sits all the fabric. Just discovered your blog and wanted to say hi!
