I found a great chunky knit sweater while thrifting
(Value Village), and decided to use it for some upcycling.

I made a little 10"x10" pillow from the turtle neck part. After cutting it off the sweater, I sewed it to some green fabric to stabilize it, then stuffed it with scraps of batting snipped into smallish pieces. The final seam opening was handstitched.

Make it a Wonderful Day!
Oh.. how clever! I love the extra texture it provides and the green is just right!
ReplyDeleteI miss our Value Village more than I thought I would. It used to be my favorite place to go and shop for up cycled quilts and projects!
I love this idea! I've made a few bags from sweaters - a pillow from a great thrift shop sweater would be perfect for the winter months!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea...I love it. Hmmmmm...I am a packrat. I need to go through a closet or two downstairs and see what I have got to work with. Happy holidays.
