Playing with Hot Wax

I attended an encaustic workshop at the Tacoma Art Museum on Saturday. While the class had a few problems including but not limited to blown fuses and a very late start to actually working with the wax, we had a good time playing with the medium.  It was great to enjoy the company of fellow art explorers!

Make it a wonderful day!

  1. Stephanie, your workshop sounds like a blast! Love the colorful art that resulted. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I wish I was one of your students! I love this batch of work - love the colors - it's all so happy! You are a GREAT art teacher!

    1. Nan, this isn't my student's work...I was one of the students! The workshop was for teachers...(Though I think my students could have done just as well or better than we adults did!!) :D

  3. I agree. I think your kids make more inspired art. I think it is a tribute to how the are taught. K.P.
